What We Learned at SXSW

We went to SXSW, met startups and picked the most innovative ones.

Sonar: This app launched in June, this uses data from Twitter, Foursquare, LinkedIn and Facebook, and lets you know who is nearby and how you’re connected. Although ranked number seven, this app appears more innovative.

Highlight — This app has already been anointed the new hotness crown by a number of influential bloggers. It’s ranked #1 according to the bloggers.

Grandstand

a product from iStrategy Labs, the Grandstand transforms Foursquare, Facebook, Twitter and SMS into games, instant rewards and eye-popping visualizations.”

Banjo

Uses location data from social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Instagram to show who is nearby.

Shapways

This app made appearances in the top five mRank slots throughout the conference as mentioned in the website.
